One of my passions is the practice of callisthenics. It is basically body weight exercises with functional movements. A technique which I have been working on is the pictured flag position. Needless to say, it is not an easy technique and requires strong core strength.
It is not easy to motivate myself to do these on my training sessions, especially as there is a risk of injury (and that has certainly happened to me).
My motivation here is to keep moving and develop all round body strength, stamina and suppleness.
I paid attention to how my body was responding and adjusting my training approach. I reminded myself of the intention of this journey, and it is one that does not need to be rushed.
